Plant-Based Apple Pie a la Rose

Instructions

Plant Based Tart Crust Method
  • Combine soft butter and sugar. Add the dry ingredients followed by the water. 
  • Mix until just combined. Laminate to 2mm. 
  • Line desired tart rings, bake in a 350° F until baked through.

Plant Based Almond Crème Method
  • Combine soft butter and sugar. Add the dry ingredients followed by the water. Mix until just combined. 
  • Add condensed milk and almond milk.

Apple Slices Method
  • Combine first four ingredients and bring to a boil. Peel and slice the apples as thin as possible. 
  • Pour the syrup over the apples, cover and let sit until cool. 
  • Drain the apples, on a sheet of parchment, lay the apple slices, overlapping them.

Assembly Method
  • Line a 2" tart ring with the short crust. 
  • Bake at 320°F for 15 minutes or until baked through and lightly colored. 
  • Remove from oven, pipe a layer of Vivafil Apple, followed by a layer of almond cream. 
  • Arrange the apples in a rose shape and bake at 350°F unntil the almond cream is baked through. 
  • Once cool, spray with Harmony Ready.
